Chances are they aren't big enough for a good 408 build... so again, I think you are answering your own questions here.

And I forgot about the On3 crap... yeah, you could go that way I suppose, but there is gonna be more to making that kit work than just that 1800 bucks..... and you are already having questions about being able to afford that.

Do yourself a favor and just buy a blower and be done with it. You can find a used S trim setup for that kind of money. Pop it on in a weekend and have fun with it until something lets go.

For a 408 you will also need to upgrade ALL your fuel and intake conponents and the bigger the more they cost. Good luck but I dont think you know what your getting into. You cannot reuse any 302 part exept for brackets and assesories...

Its just a matter of knowing what your going to have to do before forging ahead with it. Its all the other things your not thinking about that add up quick such as having to upgrade the fuel system, also do you really think the brakes that are on it are enough to stop a 408 with that kind of power? Hell if you want you can have a 408 done then just throw 302 parts on it (other then the lower intake b/c it wont fit) but your power will suffer greatly. To go ahead w/ a 408 build and do it right costs a lot of $$. The set of heads I have now are awesome for that kind of build even though I have kept it a 351 but just the heads alone that I have are $2,500, Plus Push rods to match. Thats not counting the cam, the intake exc exc... gets expensive really quick.

That's why I asked a question because I know there's people here have done them. I priced out what I will need and it won't happen this tax season I'm just gonna do a hci for now for the motor and save through this year and then go big. I appreciate everyone's input and experience with doing swaps.

Hci for ur 302 will not be any good to you when you go 351 plus heads will be to small you'll need a diff lower ... I personally like the spider efi for 351 windsor setups .... I'd just do HCi then go turbo later .... That will be more then enough power go split ur 302
