Ok so ive been all over trying do decide what i wanna do and i finally settled on a 306. My uncle bought a 54 ford coupe that had been floating around between his friends and its got a nice 306 in it. He wants to do a 4.6 or a big block so he gave me the 306 lol. I wanna freshen it up . Its carb'd now but i want fuel injection. I was looking at procomp aluminum heads on ebay. Are they any good? Any better than the gt-40? And im probably gonna run a comp cams cam. Any advise? Are there any good head gaskets or just go fel-pro? How about intakes? I know its alot of questions but im still figuring this whole ford thing out lol. I want to drive the car every day and have it reliable.. I want to be quick but not hve to fix it every weekend lol. All help would be great

Just buy a set of trickflows they're cheap and source a used intake ... Edelbrock ,cobra , systemax or whatever .... Custom cams are always better but for a off the shelf came the trickflow stage 1 and 2 make some good numbers ...

absolutely DO NOT buy cheap heads. you will regret it in the end.

Look in the classified section over on Corral.net for some used heads. I personally unloaded a set of NIB AFR185cc heads for $1300. Even let my canfield heads go for $400!
