Help me please!

Any time I turn left my tire rubs on one of the arms. This is a big issue considering I plan on using the car for road course. I just bought some new sumitomo 315s and dont wanna buy any tires for a while. What can i do??

Throw away the useless quad shocks if you havent already. Also make sure the e-brake bracket is bent away from the wheel, you can normally bend it down some to give extra clearance. If you are still running tails make sure its not hittin on those as well. If you check all that you should be good on clearance

check to see if you can visually see it rubbing on the inner fender. If so just take a hammer to the spot it was rubbing. In my case and prob other people too, movement of the rear axle is caused by worn out bushings. Before you hit the road courses/autox check out your upper control arm bushings. Mine were shot and it caused my axle to not sit even in each fenderwell.

If its rubbing the quads then you should be able to flip them. Odd that they are rubbing at all though.

Yeah but I have no tools with me! I have to drive 2 hours home to do anything. If i can find a cheap socket set and a jack Ill do it in the parking lot! I dont care.

I walked into the dorms with drag radials yesterday and they are chillin in my room. No big deal.

If you go through the trouble of un bolting the quads then you might as well leave them off

If they're rubbing on the control arms when you're turning, check out your bushings on the actual control arms

:laughing4: ayyee this guy :laughing4:

As far as the quad shocks go thats the only thing rubbing despite my original post. I got down to check it finally. Still looking for a garage/tools to use for 10 min :tongue3:.

Will taking the quad shocks reduce handling?

Mine rub and my fenders are rolled...

What is your backspacing though?

I had 315's with a 27mm back spacing on the 03 machined cobra's. I am lowered 2" and still did not rub on the quad i left them alone, i also didn't have to roll my fenders.
