iam pretty sure everyone has heard of the cobra rs with the 351 engine and the saleen s351. well with that said i was curious

about the time, work, and money involved into doing such a swap. i mean what parts need to be changed out to make way for

the larger engine. Ive heard of people doing 5.0 swaps in 4.6 mustangs, why not just go for the gold with a 351? well i hope you

all can answer this my curiosity normally gets the best of me all the time.

im not sure about doing that swap but putting a 5.4 4v would be easier or even a 2v

It could be done. The biggest hassle will be electricals aka wiring harness. I think the easiest way to get there is to buy a wrecked 94-95 5.0 and use many of the parts off of it as they should work well with the 351 (radiator, fan, harness, and sensors). You can then part out the rest of the car and turn a small profit via ebay and classifieds.

another thing you would need would be the k-member from the 5.0, it would be a preety big hassle i heard 351w arent that strong? i duno but 347 stroker would be good

but what mbachota97 was saying find a 5.4 block there preety easy to find and cheap to round 250 and bolt on some ported head and youll be makin sick torque

351 is stronger than a 5.0 and a 347 stroker, especially if you were to find an earlier mexican block.

Mexican block's are not that strong.

351's can handle up to 650 all day long, the best to find are the ones from 69-72.

Maximum Motorsports has a K-member for this swap if you don't want to find 94-95 parts...just follow the 95 Cobra R route...i've seen people do it over the years especially in the first couple years of the modular when everyone thought these engines were useless.
