I am seriously thinking about the Coast High Performance 351 Windsor roller block based 427 stroker, in the Pro Street version with the Edelbrock 210cc Victor Jr. heads. It will handle about 600 crank HP, so that is plenty for me. the version I am looking at is -29.8 cc reverse dome pistons for 9.43:1 comp with 64cc heads, perfect for a street car that may see a blower a couple years after the swap. I have all the engine specifics worked out, just trying to decide on what H/C/I is going into it. My goal is a generous, super flat torque curve and HP to match. Eventually, it will see a ProCharger D1SC with the intercooler. I also have the Fidanza aluminum flywheel with the removable weights, and a Harmonic balancer picked out. The engine is all worked out.

the car also has a S351 Saleen hood, so that is no problem either. it has about 1.5 or 2" of rise, plenty for a 351W swap, if I dont go crazy with the intake!!! I also run a Griggs Racing tubular K member.

My questions are, what accys will bolt up? the car currently has no AC and no Smog, but everything else is there. I found a site that lists all the stuff you need, but I would like to hear problems first hand in a 94 and up car.

Tuning is taken care of with a AFM PMS, so no worries there!!!

No answers, eh?? I was wondering about headers, the motor mounts, hood height required, wether the accys bolt up or not, you know ,that sort of thing!!!

Do a search. You should be able to find the answers to all your questions as we've covered this topic many times before.

i'm looking in to a 351 swap as well. from what i have gathered the alt an a/c an p/s will bolt to the engine with no problems as there are no bracket plates like the older fox setup. you can use stock mounts but for what your going to do i'ld go with hd poly mounts or even solid. and you def need a double hump pan from either a 351 crown vic or a aftermarket baffled pan. i hope this helps!

I have gathered the same. the swap isnt in the budget right now anyways. from experience, your gonna wanna go with some Poly mounts, the solid mounts are kinda hard core for a street machine.

Yeah, I drive solid mounts in my dd. It's a preference. I like the solid feel. Anyway, headers are you largest concern on this swap. Just use Fox swap headers or long tubes for a 351 in a fox. finding the sn95 specific headers is hard to do. mac quit making them, and most others did too. I did find that fox headers work great, so just delete the egr and get someone to burn a chip for your computer that only turns off the egr. The anderson can't do that. I did this same thing with my race car. After numerous phone calls to AFM complaining that most race cars don't have egr or O2's, I just figured it out on my own and burnt a chip to turn off the O2's and the egr, and guess what? No check engine light and the car runs perfectly! Yet I still have the race track adjustability of the PMS
Oil pan is the same as a fox. Accessories all bolt right up. Use the fox dipstick that comes with the pan and use a tubing bender to get it in the right spot on the side of the engine. I use a TFS intake R style or the Edelbrock unit works too. The R gives a nice broad torque curve and works really well on a big inch windsor. I am building a 393 and am going to use this intake. Whenever we get it finished(on a back burner due to customers work coming first) I will post up some dyno numbers. We may try changing out a few things to see how it affects the dyno.

SOme dudes like the solid mounts, for sure. and Anderson's PMS is kind of a pain to work with, esp on small tuning issues, like re setting the fan control on an SN95, and the EGR issues. idle control kinda sucks too.

You know, the idle control is something I like on mine. I understand where you are coming from tho, when I first fooled with one years ago, it took just sitting there patiently(and not so patiently) playing with the settings a little at a time until I got a feel for it. And forget about calling Anderson about it, unless you want to feel like a school kid again, getting talked down to. I just used the A9L strategy and burned it onto a chip, and turned off the egr and turned off the O2's and viola! No check engine lights anymore. I always hated that fact about the PMS was how stupid the thing really is in some ways. I mean, it should have a switch section that allows you to turn off certain things like EGR, O2's, thermactor, adaptive learning, and evap controls. I had to do all that with a chip. Just a waste of extra energy and time. sorry for the rant. lol! If you need any help with that POS, I mean PMS, give me a PM and I will do what I can to help you.

Ya, im in the process of selling the PMS and going full standalone. I road race the car anyways, and I get the feeling that the PMS is kinda meant for the drag crowd. besides, full control over the ECU would be nice, cuz I could dial back timing and dial in fuel when the engine starts to overheat, and kick the fans on full as well. then I have no check engine light as well. im tired of messing with the stock computer and having it fight me for control. I also have all the parts to go distributorless, and the current setup wont do it.

Sounds good, but how are you going to make those changes while driving a car in a race? Does the system you have allow a quick push of a button or turn of a switch to change to a richer tune? Just curious, you've open the floodgate on questions now! lol.
So how much do you want for the PMS? Is it for an SN95, or did you use an A9L and use a Fox PMS? Let me know!

I am using a stock 94GT (T4MO) computer, and the PMS is for the 94-95 cars. I need the stock computer to gut so I can use the connector for the MegaSquirt system. I was asking $700 for the PMS, with tunes in place for the Trick Flow H/C/I 302 with 30# injectors. Also, I never filled out the paper to get the complimentary startup tune from AFM when I got the PMS, so I suppose we could fax in the recipt and get a tune for your specific setup. I will also have a 94-95 MSD Pro Billet dizzy for sale too, along with the Blaster TFI coil and spark plug wires, fairly new cap.

For the tuning changes, you can set up a table that goes by coolant temp. when a certain temp is reached, you can tell the computer to cut timing and add fuel, to cool the car down. many factory computers do the same to make the car run when it is cold by enrichening the AF ratio and commanding the throttle bypass valve to keep the car at a higher idle, much like a choke on a carb.

I know Jegs has a swap kit for Fox cars, from what people said here, it should fit the 94-95 cars as well. check out their value packs.
