I had the factory installed door ding guards and I have always hated them but did not want the hassle of removing them until now. When I removed my S281 Wing the Double Sided tape made a mess of my trunk and it was hell getting it off, then I found this tool. So I got brave and decided to tackle the guards that were held on with double sided tape.
Here is what it looked like with the guards on.
Here is what it looked like after I used some fishing line to remove the guard and my wimpy electric power washer to get most of the tape residue off.
Here is the Eraser attached to my drill.
What it looks like in action.
Finished removing glue residue.
I also removed the 4.6 badges and getting the car ready for a 3 stage paint restoration, kind of why I decided to do this now.
