4.10's Top Speed?

Got into a scuffle with an LS1 today. Followed him out to a country road and he punched it at about 50. I followed suit, looked down and I was doing 130! So I kept it going, ended up getting up to 145 which is the fastest I've ever been (and felt surprisingly stable). Is that even possible with 4.10's? I have the white speedo gear, I believe those are more for 3.73's though. How fast do you think I was actually going?

P.S. I walked him. Without spraying too!

JLT CAI, Longtubes, O/R X, dumps. The car will get there, I'm just wondering if it's physically possible with this steep of gears. As in, is my speedo accurate at that speed? FWIW, it's dead on at 65.

i dont see why it wouldnt be possible to go that fast with 4.10s though. just so you know, a wreck over 60mph you are more than 50% likely to die, whats the chances at 145mph you think???

id say it is very possible, i pegged my speedo na with jlt cai, o/r x and flows, tune, 4.1s and speedcal. with the blower mine does 128 in 4th with the 4.1s and that was on a dyno that told me that

i think u are looking at it all wrong. no where did i say go 140 through a school zone while they are letting out for the day. there is a time and a place for everything, but you shouldnt be worried about statistics which is what that dude posted about going over 60 and your odds of dying when you are involved in a WRECK when you could easily die from doing regular everyday things that ppl feel have no risk.

Two points on my accout:

1.) I never would've gone that fast if I didn't feel safe. I understand there are things beyond my control, i.e. people backing out of driveways, joggers, etc. But this was a very familiar road in good lighting. The car didn't have that floating feeling I've felt in other's cars, it wasn't darting all over the road, it just stuck. Felt like I was going 100, even at 145.

2.) If you're probably going to die at 60mph, then why NOT have some fun and run it out every once in a while? I cruise through the country at 75mph as it is.

Damn you all took my post way wrong.

Anyhow, I hope none of you think you look badass posting about how "fast" you drive. The time and place is the track, and if my wife or daughter was ever hurt by someone being wreckless on a public road God forbid that person made it through the incident they would never walk again.

I hope none of you are parents. I just realize most of you are probably young and I understand now....

If anyone depended on me in the slightest it'd be a different story lol. I had never been over 115 until yesterday.
