who cares, you can die walking down the street. or doing some monotonous task, mine as well have a lil fun while your at it
Maybe because you aren't going to take out innocent bystanders if you die walking...

i think u are looking at it all wrong. no where did i say go 140 through a school zone while they are letting out for the day. there is a time and a place for everything, but you shouldnt be worried about statistics which is what that dude posted about going over 60 and your odds of dying when you are involved in a WRECK when you could easily die from doing regular everyday things that ppl feel have no risk.

I'm looking at it all wrong? No, you are. School children aren't the only people that walk on the side of the roads. There are always people out and about walking on the sidewalks. It only takes one nail in the road, one pothole, etc. for you to go careening off the road and plowing into someone. Or even going into the other lane of traffic and being in a head-on collision.

Two points on my accout:

2.) If you're probably going to die at 60mph, then why NOT have some fun and run it out every once in a while? I cruise through the country at 75mph as it is.

Well, then every once and a while, I would go to the race track to have my fun. The $15 i spend to go there is worth the peace of mind i get that the only people i may be putting in harm's way is because they WANT to be there. I don't think vehicular manslaughter would sit very well with my conscience.

Alright, this isn't what this thread is about. Noone's going to convince anyone else to be a safer driver on the internet. I'll probably learn the hard way someday.

Thanks for the replies concerning the topic!

I've hit 153 per my gps with my 4.10's. Also hit 189 in a modded Porche 911 twin turbo.

and it only takes one one clot in an artery for u to have a heart attach. i have no problem only risking my own life so say im on the interstate and no one else is ons, if i feel like i want to im going to. i dont know about u but i dont see sidewalks on the interstate, and the roads are always divided with at least 2 lanes in each direction, but im done playing this what if bs that if u hit a pot hole or what not.

Words of IMV Films: Practice on the street, bring it to the track, bring it back to the street...
Anyways, like someone said, there is a time and place for everything, which are words that I have lived by.

As am I, but my emotions get the best of me. PARTICULARLY when a 350 calls me out.
