What website can I find 96-98 Cobra performance parts for reasonable prices and decent quality? (ie. headers, x/h pipes, mufflers, cai's, etc.) I know where I can find 5.0 products, but I'm thinking of getting into a 4.6 Cobra so I just wanna know more about the aftermarket products before i get it. Thanks. :thumb:

The same places you get the 5.0 stuff. Jeggs, Summit. 4.6 stuff is alot more expensive than 5.0 stuff.

Sullivan Performance will be the only company really to make anything for the B head SVT Cobra engines. They will be releasing pics of it very shortly. See this thread for all the details. Sounds pretty wild.

The stock intake manifold on the 96-98 Cobra is plenty.

What are you current mods, and what are your goals? HP etc...

I don't own the car yet, I was planning on buying it this weekend so I just wanted to get some information on the car and the engine. And my goal is to beat my friends catfish... LS1.

No. The 96-98 Cobra heads are different.

in MORE ways than one

Ok lets do this... What are the differences between the 96-98 and 03/04 Cobra's? I know quite a bit about them both, but I'm sure someone knows a lot more then I do. lol

To sum it up:

96-98 Cobra
Aluminum Block (known as the Teksid block)
Steel Crankshaft (known to handle as much HP that has been thrown at it)
cast rods and pistons

"B" Cylinder Heads (they have two intake ports, 1 primary , 1 secondary)
The Stock Cams have also been able to handle upwards of 550+ HP

03-04 Cobra
Iron Block
Steel Crankshaft (same as the 96-98 cobra engine)
H-Beam Rods
Forged Pistons

"C"/Tumble Port Cylinder Heads...these heads are revised versions from those found on the 99 and 01 cobra motors...these are most commonly known as "Cobra" Heads..these have a single intake port...
Eaton Supercharger

Ok hypothetically if I WANTED to install 03/04 rods, pistons, heads, and S/C would that be possible on a 96-98 4V?

YES.

How about the valve covers? I like the 03/04 valve covers. i like how they say 32-V V8. The 96-98 cobras dont say anything on the valve covers... none that ive seen at least.
