4.6 question

ive just recently bought a 4.6 motor and i was told it was from a t-bird. well i ran the part number on the block and it says its from a 94 lincoln... is it the same as whats in my 96?

Yes it will work but why didn't you buy a 99-04 engine? There's almost 60 more hp.

i do have an 01 block but everyones been telling me to just do a pi head swap since i dont plan on putting any kind of power adders on it...plus the 01 ill have to start over(i have underdrive pullies and some parts already for just a pi headswap)

I have two P.I. 4.6's from Mustang's and the casting says one is from an NPI Mustang and one's from an Explorer.

they are 2 totally different looking blocks besides the fact that one is fwd and one is rwd.... the conti also have a larger amount of side ribbing and bracing, which actually makes IT the stongest teksid over the mark viii and cobra's

i had a similar problem with my oil burning off , or so i thought, it turned out to be my oil been sucked up by the pvc and the vent tubes. so i did a whole pvc delete . and no more oil being lost
