I m trying to finish up my P.I. head swap, and I have a question for the forum. Well I got the heads on, and lined up the cam gears perfect. On the chains there are marks on opposite sides, and the manual says those marks go on top of the marks on cam gears. Fine that is perfect, and I checked them five times to make sure it was right. Then it says to rotate the motor by hand to make sure theres no interference, done that. The question I have is after rotating it over and over, and then bringing it to top dead center, the marks on the chains are no longer on the cam gears like when I started. It may sound dumb but they seem to be moving a couple a teeth over every time I rotate the engine by hand. Maybe Its normal, but I just want to make sure this is perfect, I have alot of money in this project. I guess I'm just hoping someone else has done this job and noticed this. :help2:
