4.6l engine swap.. Any suggestions?

i have a '97 gt and it seems to have some slight damage to the frame but the engine still runs great and has fairly low miles. i was wondering if anyone knew of some cars that i could swap the engine (4.6l 2v) into without too much hassle.

Um...swapping that huge monstrosity into anything besides a stang would be a huge pain. Since you have a donor car I'd find another 94-98(or even a 99-04 if you want a new edge) with a good body and then swap it all in.

npi, i wouldn't put an npi in a new edge
i'd get an el cheapo 96-98 6er and put it in there
the 4.6 is wide...i considered putting one in a ranger...nevermind that...

if you have a complete donor car it shouldn't be an issue, wow a 94/95 w/a 4.6 novel...coo..

do you know of a good place to look for a shell other than ebay, craigslist, and the classifieds on forums

It'd be harder in a fox. Any 94-04 car would be easy. While its out you should swap to PI heads and intake.

i'd look for a 6er or a shell in the same places you listed, i found my car (just finished shopping for a snive) on autotrader 300 miles away in houston (i live in fort worth) i considered several cars from this forum too...lotsa forums to look at, good leads...it shouldn't be hard to find a 94-98 6er or shell cheap
