40 hp

On the dyno last week only 257 rwhp, would like to hit the 300 mark. Any suggestions on 40 hp without tearing down??. 95 cobra, stock intake, 165 heads, crane 2031, bbk x- pipe, long tubes, cold air with 70 tb and bama 4 bank chip.

Well he upgraded the heads with the 165s.....Intake might add about 20 or so.

im talkin real heads like 202s.....maybe 194s

also gslinger - i'd go over the cam/crank/distrib timing just to double check.....make sure you're still in lin e

Very suprised you're not making it. I make the same HP without the AFR, 70mm t/b, and tune. I have a GT40 top end, 60mm t/b, shortys, E-cam, and stock GT ECU.

The 257 is corrected?

i was kinda thinking the same thing as RichV.....which has a lot to do with my last post about timing.....hopefully he can get on and fill us in on info soon

Oh shoot, I was thinking mod motor....Yeah, get a Trickflow upper and lower intake, upgrade the heads, Get better longtubes and go with an H pipe.......

trickflow heads, holley systemax intake, choose whatever cam and ill bet you'll make 300 real easy.

this doesn't sound like a fully functioning motor, not lack of parts. the only thing i'm seeing as the bottle neck is the stock cobra intake. the tune might be off a little. make sure everything is functioning properly, clean the maf, engine is grounded, etc. what was the torque number? post the dyno graph if you can.

I am thinking I should remove the stock plenum add a trick flow and going to 30 pd injectors, my bbk x pipe has the resonators remove and go back to strait h-pipe. I should hit 300??
