I am coming up with different part numbers on the compressor at the very least

If i'm not mistaken the A/C compressor on a V6 is on the passenger side.

So the lines are totally out of the question as the 5.0 compressor is on the driver's side.

As far as the alone I highly doubt it would work as the flange for the lines most likely wont match up to the holes on the back of the 5.0 compressor

The 5.0L A/C compressor is different, the A/C lines (hoses) are COMPLETELY different. After doing extensive research on what is involved in removing my 3.8 and installing a 5.0 in my car, I can tell you that they are not the same. You *can* put a 5.0L in there, and connect IT'S hoses to the rest of your setup, but you can NOT use the 5.0L A/C parts on the 3.8L.

I did a 5.0 swap, and my v6 compressor bolted up fine on the other side. However the AC currently does not work because it is not plugged into the wiring harness. As mentioned earlier since the location is different, the wiring harness may not fit (length-wise)

So you WERE able to keep your A/C setup on the 5.0 swap? I'm getting ready to do that swap myself, and would LOVE to keep the A/C for my car. If I can keep my existing compressor and just get the longer hoses for it, that'd be nice.
