5.8 heads on a 5.0

no...deck heights are different requiring 351 intake I believe this is all. OH yea and headers are different as well

they are actually the same in regards to height i believe, but it isn't really worth it. They also do have larger head bolt sizes so you have to get the inserts for that too. get a set of gt40 heads for a pretty cheap boost!

There is no significant difference between a "5.0 head" and a "5.8 head." They're all the same except perhaps for the size of the head bolt holes which can be accommodated by simple head stud/bolt spacers.

The 5.0 tech in this place has gone to shit.

I know people that have run 351w heads oh 302 blocks . Small block is a small block its bore and stroke thats different . Oh and head bolt size . If u look up a intake they say fits 289,302,351w . I am almost positive .

351w and 302 share heads, the 351 heads are drilled for bigger bolts so no advantage at all. The only exception to this are the early 351w heads from the 60's-mid 70's, they will indeed have a slight flow advantage stock vs. stock but the cost of modifying them to work would be the same as just having purchased a worked set of gt40s or aluminum. This was popular to do before the aftermarket scene took off but just is not worth it anymore.

Yes gt40 heads r bad ass for stock heads I had 93 cobra heads with a full port chopped down to about 58 cc chambers .

i agree. im a modular guy and i have to give better tech than most of the guys here...

It happens.. Sound like your talking about the 351 block it self.. I made the same mistake on another post... Tought he was talking the whole 351 swap but was only talking about the heads..
