thats what i was looking into next. probably after i order the full exhaust. i was going to look into probably the cobra upper and lower, and then a trottle body to go along with all that. just got to wait for some more money to come in tho.

When you get your exhaust, I highly recommend an o/r x-pipe. I just installed my first one, and I absolutely love it!!!

how much does the brake kit run and where can i get it? not really looking into brakes either tho, just runnin a pretty much bone stock gt with gt40 heads and the everyday bolt ons. so it doesnt take to much to slow down. haha.

since we are working in a budget here.

Same, but they don't say "Cobra", I bought and installed the Mach1 brake kit and I luv em. Great deal at a great price

*bbk 70mm throttle body 210 ----> Port your throttle body(free mod)
*bbk aluminum underdrive pulley kit 130 ----> You can get it cheaper. Get march or asp kit!
*billet smog pump elim. 65 ----> if it ain't broken no need to spend money on pulley. Leave it
*steeda firewall adjustment kit 100 ----> Why you need this right now?


When i first stated my car. I was on budget too. I home ported everything. If i were you i look at gears. 3:73 or 3:55. I have 4:10's now and it's little too much on the street.

cobra Intake and roller rockers(cobra 1.7),
Get some flow super 44 and have the exhaust shop make the piping. It will be little cheaper then buying $500 exhaust. Get mac headers they are cheap but they are good and out performs most shorties.

MAF stock good for now

Get some new brake calipers. the single piston stocker is nerve wrecking...bullitt or mach1 is cool along with good rotors. get some slotted ones.

It doesn't take ton of money to get the 5.0 going. save money and do not buy the unnecessary stuff for now.

I think you will be able to stay around $500-$600 for these mods if you install everything yourself.

Personally I would spend money other places that a Cobra Intake and RR unless you are thinking about doing a HCI. The 5.0 I have basically has a lot of the small bolt ons and its fun, but the Trickflow setup that I have is what really made the car.

I completely understand and agree with hollywood on a lot of the comparison alternatives he gave. Something that will make a difference (well at least it did for me) was when I installed BBK LTH, Offroad H Pipe, and the Super 40 with my 4.10's. It really opened up the car and made it sound MEAN.

For the shifter- I agree about the Pro 5.0.
Cold air intake- can be made.
Throttle Body is Okay if you port it- You wont see that huge of a difference.
UDP is an emotional subject with me- Here in AZ all they do is screw up your engine Temps.
Smog Pump Elim- Just a waste of money.
Firewall Adjustment- Yeah, why do you need it?

What size primaries do you have 1 5/8th or 1 3/4?
