I just bought a 5.0L out of a 91 mustang w/ a t-5 for my '41 Ford pickup. I was looking at a pro-p intake, ported gt40 heads, b303 and other supporting mods. What kind of numbers should I be looking at?

unless you tell him its going in a truck and you would like to make peak torque lower, in which case he will suggest a different intake. I have a CI cam in multiple cars right now. one of them is a bronco stock 302 short block with gigantic canfields and a single plane intake. guess where it makes peak tq ????

This truck isnt going to be an off-road truck, it's a hotrod. The truck weighs less than a mustang, I want it to be fast. I want peak power around 6000rpm

perfect. I would never suggest an OTS (off the shelf) camshaft to anyone. Jay Allen is my cam guy, however he is currently very sick with complications from having a brain tumor. I have heard rumors that he will be back soon, however in his place I can suggest FTI or Bullet. I would let them know of your goal and which head you were leaning towards and let them dictate you intake and perhaps even your head choice. do not be afraid to go with a 190cc or bigger head.

jay has many stock or close to stock 302 bottom end customers running the FAC 190's and his cam going bottom 11's on motor. this is in a notchback mustang with an average race weight of around 2950. ofcourse driver and platform variances could improve or hinder your results.

his personal gt40 headed car with a stock 302 bottom end went just as fast, she just didnt live too long lol

If I can make this truck a 12sec truck I will be just fine. I was hoping for around 300hp with less than 3000lbs, I would think that could put me into the 12s. It's going to be a show truck, weekend truck, but I want to be able to run with cars if I feel the need too.
