Whats the difference? Alot of parts I see say up to year 93 and not the 94/95 years. What makes them different? Local guy is selling upper/lower cobra intake but its from a fox. Any reason why it wouldnt fit on my 95?

It will fit but you would need to purchase the elbow to hook it up to the current SN95 style.

Most of the differences are minor. The intake elbow is an obvious one, the headers are also different becuase of the EGR. The accessories on the front of the engine are different also along with the water pump, the TB setup, MAF, computer, etc are different also.

the water pump is different since it doesn't have to run the fan as the 94/95 have an electric fan. This also means 94/95 underdrive pullies won't work on a fox and vice versa.

I read somewhere quite a while ago that the lower intake on the foxs is better than ours. I think ours is like the one that came on the thunderbirds.

so not there is a lack of aftermarket for the 94-95 5.0s, but when looking for aftermarket parts all 302 parts basically fit?

The deal past me by but I am still interested in a cobra intake. I take it I dont have to find one that is specifically the 94-95 years but if a fox part comes up all I have to do is buy an elbow

That intake will work fine if you modify it a little. You can either run the adapter elbow or convert over to a fox style throttle body setup.

Yes. However SOME 92s did have hypers, it was a transition year over to the hyper pistons they used until they stopped the 5.0 explorers in 99 or 2000.

The shortblocks themselves are the same though and everything will bolt right up.

so if i use a 87-91 short block and throw a supercharger on that, it would hold a little better then using my 94 block? that saying if i got a 87-91 short block free or dirt cheap(like under $250)

I picked up a 5.0 out of a 92 t-bird and the intake is the same as my 95.
