You don't need to plug anything, just re route your heater hoses straight to the water pump. you will have to find a GT threaded insert for the block if you get rid of the cooler, or you can just leave the cooler on and leave the coolant openings in the cooler open.

This is incorrect, it's total cake to remove it. You unscrew the oil cooler from the block and screw on a GT oil filter. Buy a small coolant line and hook it up where the old coolant lines were and you're done. I've heard it should have been called a coolant heater more so than an oil cooler. I'm glad mine's gone, good riddance.
LOL ok so deleting it would make the space, What size be do you guys use? mines is on but I wish it fit a lil more snug.
