There is no reason to remove it unless you have a racecar. Plus, the car is worth significantly less without it. Keep it - you'll regret it later if you don't.

As he said, only if its a race car, once you have A/C in your car then go back to vent, it will seem like hell itself!

I'm currently living in Virginia, the weather is hot, but bearable. I'm moving back to Houston after my time in the Navy is up next year about this time, which means i'll be home in time for winter. the AC in my car doesn't work, and hasn't worked since about a week after i got it. i didn't remove it. just bypassed it for now, cause there's no point in spending the money to fix it right now. maybe when i get back to Houston, or before i leave, but for now... i just bypassed it. leave it in, fix it... you're not racing.

I live in central florida. It's hot as balls in the summer down here. Compressor lost it's bearings and seals. I drove it for about 3 months while it was cool until about march. It got hot. I fixed the problem. Now I'm happier than a tornado in a trailer park. seriously though if you're in an area where it gets over 75 during the day and you're in your car it gets hot I'm sure. I'd say hit up a local junkyard and pick up the line you need. Then hit up AutoZone or something and pick up another orafice tube *its like 7 bucks* and about 3 or 4 cans of r134a and put it all back together. You'll be thankful you did plus your current or any future girl will appreciate it greatly! lol. :drunk:

I would leave the A/C on the car personally. My car is built not necessarily to race but to put down some power and have fun, take it to car shows, but I can also get in it in the middle of summer, turn on the A/C and still cruise. Unless you're all out drag, I'd leave it. I've seen mustangs in the 11's with A/C on it, it's not impossible, it's just an easy route to free up power, and if you don't care...why not?
