So I just got my new spintech flowtubes and pro street mufflers, my tailpipes should be arriving later this week, the issue im having is that there is a horrible rattling coming fromeither my converters or the resonators, im assuming the packing inside has broken loose, I will eventually be getting a dr gas x pipe to go with the spintechs, but untill i can afford them i think what im a do is cut out both the converters and resonators, and splice in straight tubing ( essentially making an offroad H pipe out of the stocker), my question is what type of piping should I use ( Straight, or does it have to be curved), I believe I should just be able to splice in some sraight tubing right? Like I said this will just be a temporary thing for a month or so till I can afford the new mid, That Damn rattle has to STOP!!! lol :BangHead:

Well that actually happened to me too. I ended up just revving the shit out of it, a couple times, over a few days (didnt wanna be a douche to my car lol) then a FAT ASS chunk of somethin(Cat most likely), came out my cherry bomb glasspack, ever since then my cat has not rattled.

hahaha I tried that, but I think its wedged in a way where it wont come out, so i was thinking while I have the rear jacked up to put in the cat back, I could cut out the problem and just weld in new pipe in place of the 2 cats and 2 resonators, at least till I can afford my dr gas x pipe

First off do you have access to a welder and sawzall ?? If not the cost to do this will cost what a O/R H would cost you shipped to your house and you could do it in your driveway.
Take off your stock pipe or get under it and give it a good thud with a closed fist or a rubber mallet and see which one is having problems. You could always just gut it with a long Pry bar

Yea I actually do have a welder, and sawzall, or cutoff wheel if that would work better, and im able to do the welding and everything myself, so no extra cost there, i got under it the other day and it actually sounds like both cats are bad, thats why i figured just cut them out, would it be more beneficial to cut out both cats and resonators and replace with pipe( could do no problem as long as it be a straight piece cause I dont have a bender) or would leaving the resonators and hollowing out the cats be a better idea?
