I oppologize if this has already been asked I tried to search but couldn't find anything. My 95 gt is cutting out but only when it first starts to warm up. It doesn't do it when its cold or when at normal operating temp just in between. Also doesn't surge at idle or wot just when cruising at 2k-2500 rpm. When it does it I can floor the car and it stumbles for just a split second and then takes off great. The car has a bbk cai basani x-pipe into dumped flows with no cats, 3.73 gears and a 5 speed car. maf is new last week. The car is new to me and I'm not very knowledgable on mustangs so any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Forgot to add that the smog pump is bypassed with a short belt but still on the car. I'm going to delete all of the connections and everything hopefully tomorrow could this cause the problem I'm having?

ck the coil
there is a way in your Haynes manual to read the OHMs of the coil to see if the insulation is breaking down.
Or just replace it if it's original. they're not that expensive.

Ok replaced the coil wed and been driving it for 2 days and it seems to have helped quite a bit but it did not completely rlrminate the problem! So what's next plugs and wires maybe? Cap and rotor?

probably should have started with the basic tune up.
So yea even if the car is new to you, it doesn't mean the PO kept the mechanicals up to par.
While your doing that, don't forget to clean the MAF. Especially if there is a K&N style air filter on it.
