currently having charge problems with my girls car.

Here is the problems i am having:

Its having charging issues with the altenator. somedays the car works fine then other days the altenator wont charge the battery. i have replaced the altenator and battery and it still does this problem. i have also gotten them both tested, they are both ok.

I can only think of converting it to a foxbody computer to fix this problem? anyone else get this problem?

That has nothing to do with your computer. Something is up in the charging system. On foxbody cars, there is a tiny resistor on the back of the gauge cluster - if it is not there, or is malfunctioning, the battery won't charge.

That is almost certainly NOT your problem, but I suck at electrical. :)

ck all the battery cables for corrosion inside the insulation. make sure all the gounds are in good shape too. there shouldn't be any paint or grease under the connections. interior lights is a good thing to ck too, sunvisors, hood, trunk,

like paul said, sure as hell isn't your computer! You have a short somewhere causing a draw on the battery when the car is off.

I wonder if it was having a good day when it was tested. The fluctuating gauge condition really makes me think the alternators internal regulator is
not functioning correctly.

Sounds to me like the car has a draw somewhere... check all the ground straps from battery back, check for corrosion inside all the battery cables going everywhere and check any exposed hot wires in the car... mine had a draw through the radio and would kill the car after a couple days.

You def have a draw coming somewhere, do you have any aftermarket stuff? alarm, amp, etc? mine was doing something similar and it turned out to be the POS alarm the previous owner installed. Major pain to unfuck the hillbilly wiring job
