last night we put new exhaust on my friends 94 GT, he was **** talking a lil bit playing around because we ran about a week ago..and it was hotter than hell outside and my car runs like **** when its hot out plus i had a 275 lb passenger with me...and he beat me by like 2 cars or more...so we figured we'd go run after we finished his exhaust up. his car has the following mods

about 250 lbs lighter than my car...and i out weigh him by about 170 lbs. So a good bit of weight. BBK Equal lengths,Off Road H Pipe, Flowmaster catback. couple other small things...like battery relocated, stage 2 clutch, and a shifter.

my mods are, BBK Longtubes, BBK off road X pipe, Magnaflow catback, BBK Cold air intake, BBK Underdrive pulleys, Pro 5.0 Shifter, and 4.30's

i spun pretty bad going into 2nd but still a good run...i'm in the far lane on the video he's closest to the camera.

If you had a 3.73 i think not only would you have had him out of the whole but it would have been more of a kill. Those 4.30's are hurting you up top. That's just my .02

yea i agree i got a friend thats wanting to trade me gears...we can swap them ourselves so no money involved...he's got 4.10's....should i do that or def. shoot for the 3.73's?? he really wants the 4.30's but he's also got a 4V so he should be fine.

everyone will always say don't fear the gear. But with me having a 5sp the most i would ever go with is a 3.73. I plan on going with a 3.55 but thats my opinion. You need to have a game plan layed out and see what your goals are and see which one would fit you best.

I love how everyone who has never had 4.10's in a 5 speed mustang, assumes they are over kill.

hell I still get 20mpg+ on the highway with my 4.10's

I said there too much for my that was my .02 i have rode in a 5sp car that had a 4.10 i thought it was useless 1st gear for around town. Now that is just my opinion. I have a 7 mile drive to work and with 3.08 gears i get 12.8 mpg. That's enough gas to waste for me.

Edit: Now if i had my old 95 f150 with a built 302 and a 4.56 rear and got 7mpg i wouldn't be complaining. That truck would give most of the cars i have seen and run into a very very good run for there money :)
