96 cobra which oil to use and weight

96 cobra has 96000 miles im wondering what oil and weight to use i was thinking castrol gtx high mileage 10w 30 with a motorcraft oil filter and not sure how many quarts it takes .i just wanna put the better stuff for the car and better for the motor should i go mobil 1?

Mobil 1full synthetic, Mobil 1 or motor craft filter. 10w30 with that mileage. 6qts for perfect fill level. just to let you know Mobil one is not cheap! itts cheaper at Walmart than parts stores.

Full synthetic and a good filter.. I believe I use 5w20.. not 100% on that.. And I have 119k on the clock

Also.. Put in 7qts.. Our oil pan can take right about 7-8 before it hits the wings in it. Plus our cars hold a full court in the heads while running. Most of the guys on SVTP including myself run 7qts...

Otherwise 6 is whats called for from ford..

I used Valvoline on my last one (3 miles ago) but I work for Goodyear and get it cheap as hell.. Wait.. forgot.. actually my last one cost me 0$....

Anyways Redline is awesome stuff too as well as Royal Purple.. But for normal in store stuff.. Mobile1 is probably the favorite among everyone

I run 7 quarts of 5w30 Castrol Syntec in mine.

I used 5w30 Semi syn for a while but found it too thin for a higher mileage motor. Switched to 10w30 full synthetic and its all better

I currently run and have always run 5w30 Motorcraft synthetic blend and never had any issues.

mobil 1 synthetic 10-30 i use it on all the cars and its works great, and i use motorcraft filters (cut alot of them apart and motorcraft is my favorite)
