you will need to then switch the speaker wires for the speakers to the tweeter wires as your signal but yes that is correct.

I was going to pull the tweeters off the main speaker and put a 1000ohm resistor in the circuit so they don't blow out. Thanks again

DO NOT USE RESISTORS WHEN NOT NEEDED!!!

If your pushing hard enough to blow the tweeter then your pushing hard enough to blow the resistor which can cause it to heat up to the point it can start a fire.

Find a set of passive crossovers and wire them up correctly to better save your tweeters.

all you need is a 1000 microfarad cap wired inline to the tweeter and it will sound happy. It is a bass blocker in AC electronics.
