so for the past couple days ive been hearing a loud whining noise coming from my tranny which ive assumed was my TOB. yesterday the noise changed to a grinding sound only when the clutch was in. then today my clutch pedal started slowly falling to the floor everytime i pressed it in. and then on the way home the clutch dropped altogether and i was stuck in gear. i barely made it home cruising in 2nd (thank god i only work a mile away). i managed to pull it into neutral and coast down my street while it made a consistant grinding sound. but im wondering what is to be expected when i drop the tranny? a bunch of pieces everywhere? or just one messed up TOB. possibly bent clutch forks? or a whole new clutch in my near future?
