Finished the P.I. swap and got a great tune at mac donald motorsports, everything running fine. Dyno run turned 252 at the wheels, good but still looking for more power. Not bad for having over 100,000 miles on the short block. Well my real problem that I need help with is the rpm. When I'm driving and push in the clutch, the rpm dont drop right away. They hang up for a couple of seconds, then drop real slow. I've cleaned the throttle body and the iac. After 30 or so seconds it will come down and idle fine. This is why I dont think its a vaccum problem.

mine does just about the same thing you are describing. I also cleaned the TB and replaced my IAC valve. It is pretty annoying..I was thinking I might have a vacuum leak somewhere but I am not sure.

mine did that as well, replaced the o2 sensors (not because of this, they went bad on their own....150k miles on stock sensors :bunny3:) and cleaned the MAF sensor (with electronic parts cleaner...) and it went away. i too had thought it was the IAC and replaced that, but turns out i just replaced a working part. not sure if it was the new o2 sensors or cleaning the MAF that did the trick, but i suggest (if you want to try what i did) to clean the MAF first. the can of cleaner costs only about $3, while each of o2 sensors costs $90+

x2 on MAF/TB/IAC being the cause

This is pretty common among late models, but not all of them for some reason. Im suprised no one else has chimed in with this. It is in fact not your MAF, TB, etc... But it is you IAC, basically, you just need to make a quick part to fix it.

Takes about 1 hour, and works everytime.

already made one..still does it. I will check out the MAF next time I open the hood.
