It really depends on your driving habits, use of the car, and future plans. If you're gonna stay mostly stock go with the 4.30's...but it really just depends on what you want the car to do.

My 97 is a daily driver, so I went with 3:73 gears. I am very happy with them. Last year I drive to Florida from Pa. and I had a best of 26mpg. I averaged about 23-24 mpg there and back. Running it around town, if I am a good boy I can get 21 mpg consistantly. If I can't keep my foot out of it I still get 17-18mpg.

IMO 4:30's are to much gear for a DD.

cobra- 4.10s if ur going with a supercharger. 4.30 if ur staying N/A .. 4.56 if its going to be pure track, or even 4.88s

but 4.10 or higher... ull regret going lower.. everyone always does. so go 4.10s

I had 4.10's... Then I had 4.30's... Then I had a T56, and this was all with my DD 2v, so 4v, no less than 4.30.

yes.. but have u tried 4.10s or 4.30s? most who switch wish they never spent the money on the lower gear...

My uncle had 4:10's in his 96, granted it was a GT not a Cobra. I did drive it and they were great, but for the application that I am useing the car for, I felt that 3:73's would be better. As I said ealier, the car is a daily driver, and I have driven the car up and down the east coast. I have driven it to Massachusetts 2 times, to Connecticut 1 time, and in March I will be driving it down to Florida for the second time. I don't want the car to be running 3000rpm for an 18 hour drive.

If the car actually saw some track time, you would probably be correct.
