99-04 console into 94-98

Hi, I was wondering if anyone have ever try to fit the console of an 99-04 into an 94-98.

Yes lots of people have done the swap.

It fits, only difference i remember is a space at the rear of it compared to the stock. Where it meets the floor in front of the seats. I think Javi has done this.

yea i just did this swap tuesday. yea the back of the console doesn't touch the tranny tunnel, also you gotta use your wiring harness from the old console and re route it b/c the cupholders take up the room where it would tuck under. one of the best mods by far

The console you're talking about is '01-'04. I installed cupholders from a '99-'00. While I definitely prefer the '01-'04 console, you can't beat cupholders for $10, and it's worlds better than the '94-'98.

you have to splice some wires for the 12v by the shifter and extend some wires for the fog light switch.

on your right the 01-04 wiring harness and on your left the 94 harness

see the pigtail that has the letter" H" written on it? that for the fog light switch, notice that it doens t reach to the opening.
