A/C inline filter

so my ac pump took a crap on me and i am replacing the compressor. my roomate who is a gm and ase master tech for over 20 years told me that there whould be a filter in the system but its a ford so he dont know where its at. does anyone know? maybe some pics?


according to autozone :violent1: its call an oriface tube.

Just look where your lines travel, it will stick out like a sore thumb...you reall cant miss it. It's on the passenger side, resembles a fuel filter
