I have a few questions regarding the EGR system on my 1994 GT. My car has GT40X aluminum heads that were on the car when I bought it, along with a Cobra intake.
Does the EGR system use the center port on the heads or does it just pull exhaust from the passenger side header, to the EGR valve and then into the intake on the elbow?
I'm asking this because I'm going to put in new lower intake gaskets and the ones I have don't have the hole for that center port in the head. Can I use these ones and just use the gasket to seal/cover that hole if it is not used, or do I need gaskets with that hole in them? What about using something else to block that hole?
I'm assuming on Fox cars the EGR is routed up through that center hole in the head, up through the round hole in the upper intake and back to the EGR valve that way?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
