A**-holes not trying to stand by their "warranty" HELP!

It may look good.. **for a little while** but they are DEFINITELY NOT daily driver rims. Luckily they have a 1 year warranty on the finish and I've only had them 5 months. I know its a big hassle though, and I am still very ticked off about it. But after two days of drving in the rain... This happened. But I don't know if I want them to just replace the 3 rims, or just get my money back, or have them ship me a set of different rims. Since they're an OE replica deeler.

Yeah man. They were perfectly fine 3 days ago. But this car is my DD and I drive it in the rain all the time. Just 2 straight days of rain and when I go to wash my car I stumble upon this shit.

what brand? thats why i stay away from american muscle knock-offs...

not saying you did something wrong, or that your wheels are cheep knock offs. just saying black chrome is fairly durrable, and rain alone wouldnt do what you are showing us without something else happening, or unless the wheels are fairly old. Even then it shouldnt have happened the way it did. It has to be a manufacturerriersss defect. especially considering they are doing it all at the same places...

look like something landed on it and melted the finish off on that part. If it was rain why isn't the whole rim destroyed? Or maybe it was bird poop and it went through the finish...who knows...

Guys, lol
I'm not blaming the rain completely its just the finish on the rims. It obviously started peeling from the valve stem and the rain got underneath the aldready peeling part andmade in 100x worse.

i cant see the pics right now but im sorry to hear that happened.

i have black chrome wheels too, i bought mine from AM.

dumb idea i know but i put mine on in the middle of winter when there was salt/sand on the roads. yet the only damage is the damage done by me. i made a tiny nic on two of them from curbs, and one of the same ones i scratched, one day i left it upright in the garage and came back and it was facedown on the garage floor. there is scratches aruond the entire rim now. >.< my stupid mistake though. one spot is actually chipping where there was no damage, but its not too bad. ill get a pic sometime.

also, sometimes i notice they look a little redish, ever notice that? i think actually in one spot, it looks like a SPOT of red, underneath the black chrome. idk ill try and snap a pic of it tomorrow.

Hopefully you hung to those Chrome FR500's you had on it before, they looked better IMO...........that chrome just popped against that blue paint!

man that blows! I really can't see the rain doing that though, it must just be a defect in the finish. I say at least stick with a chrome wheel, those silver FRs are really going to take away from the car I think. That sucks though I freakin love the black chrome on there.

wow, thats crazy lol

I am saying its a defect in the manufacturing because all the peeling happened in the same spot on every rim.
