it's because the 9" wide measurement isn't measured in the same way you measured the wheel. if you measure a 10" wheel, it is goign to be a little bit over 11" i believe.

You're exactly right. Which is weird though, because that is the same way you measure a wheel to balance it on the machine. Apparently their measurement is from the inside of the bead? Oh well, hopefully things get made right and I can get this over with. I'll be much happier with the look once I get the right size wheels on it.

Re: A short story about my wheels...

All wheels are measured from the part where the bead seals I believe, don't quote me on that but I think that's how it's measured. And Moser, I run a 255 on my 18x9's, they do fit but there is a tiny bit of stretching, I will get 265 next time instead but running the 255 isn't hurting anything, I DEFIANTLY wouldn't go any smaller though lol.

I know they fit, just dont think it looks right. a 255 is about perfect for an 8" wheel. I just dont like how the side wall seems to lean in towards the top, ya know?

Thats what I dont like about my 255's, the sidewall looks bad leaning in. They ride fine, Ive gone up to phx a few times, no problems, I just dont like the look. I like a straight sidewall with fatties in the back. no pun intended.

You may get some rubbing issue with 295's in the back if you take turns some what fast. That would depend on your springs and shock combo as well.

I have Eibach Pro springs and struts on mine. So how do you guys with 10.5" rear wheels and 315's do it?

Had to roll my fender for 315/35/17 on eibach pro springs and flip the quad shocks

I have 295's on 18x9 and there's a little bit of bulge. I think 295's on 18x10 would be a perfect fit.

I think so too, but I dont want any rubbing. I'll be close up front with a 275 on the 9"...

Re: A short story about my wheels...

I run a 295 in the back, and I had to roll the seam that forms the bottom of the trunk on one side, and get rid of my quad shocks. it only rubs during agressive driving, so normal driving is fine.

Re: A short story about my wheels...

I rubbed with 305 on the fender, 295's did the trick but I wish I still had 305's...they look a lot more meaty in the rear. I have a 18x9 and 18x10 setup.

I flipped my quad shocks when we put the wheels on, I heard that was alright to do? So how do you roll fenders?

fender roller....

or if you feel froggy, get a baseball bat and put it between the tire and the fender and roll the car forward and back, keeping the bat at the same spot on the tire.

Dont forget the heat gun, or the paint will crack!!!!!!

if you have aftermarket control arms, the quad shocks are worthless... imho

And the rubbing issue I cured with my MM adjustable's. Sure the back end isn't lowered any more but I have zero rubbing and I didn't have to mod crap.

Re: A short story about my wheels...

A little update. I'm getting two 10" wheels on the cheap, along with 295/35 tires. Today I swapped the stock wheels back on, and while I was doing that, I put one of the 275's up front to get a look at it. It doesnt rub lock to lock, and looks pretty sweet. With the new rear wheels I think it'll finally have the look I wanted in the first place. Here is a few pics.

With the 275/35 up front

Re: A short story about my wheels...

Im running 315's out back on a 10.5 inch wheel with eibach sportlines with no rubbing issues whatsoever. Im also running 275's in front which slightly rub when I turn my wheels all the way in either direction, but its nothing that isnt managable.
