Most of the cars i work on, its usually one of the 4 sensors. [one for each wheel] .
A diagnostic usually tells you which one it is. ;)

I ordered my car with no options, which aparently meant no ABS. Can't say as I've missed it...

I have to assume, since I never had it, but just take off the sensors and wheels should do it.

no, you would have to de-activate the ABS thru the ECU. dont know how to do it, but i know thats how it will have to be done.

the ABS light will turn on for a number of reasons, ranging from a dirty/bad sensor to wrong wheel size. go to whichever sensor you think is wrong and clean it up. if it doesnt get better, then chances are its bad/defective.

also staggered wheels (17" up front, 18" in the rear, for example) will cause the ABS to trigger if the tire sizes dont match. hell, even with the same size rims, if the tires are too different (one has a higher sidewall than the other) the ABS will trigger. if it senses the speed differences are within a set range, it will activate the brakes to slow the faster wheels down. if its outside the preset range, it will deactivate itself (so it doesnt cause an accident) and will illuminate the ABS light to tell you something is wrong.

Yeah with my Prostars on, the ABS light goes off.
the only way to solve that is to pull the bulb out of the cluster, but that justs make it so you don't have a light. :D

but yeah, no tuner that i have seen will turn any street car's ABS off because of the risks involved. My roomate's mach has all teh sensors pulled because of his c-clip eliminators in his rear, but he still has the light come on. Our tuner told him just to pull the light because he won't turn it off.

And mine goes on with the drag tires, it is just because of the size and the skinnies. just something you are gonna have to deal with.

I was looking at re piping the brake system, ditching the main abs unit at the front, and just going back to a normal break setup, then remove the bulb.
It wont matter much what anything else does after that. ;)

yeah, you could do that as well. easiest way would be to go to the junk yard and hope you can find the non-abs steel brake lines.
