I don't think the abs light has anything to do with the pads, the squeelers will tell you when that is time.

Just curious if you did anything dumb like check yer manual?

forget about your manual what size are you wheel/tires?
if you go big it could sett off the abs light.

ABS light will come on when brake fluid level is low look hear first

The car has had the same tire and wheels on for 5 years so i dont think that is the issue. Ill check the fluid level.

make sure none of the small sensors carme out. i had 1 come out once

You can have brand new brakes and they can squeal. If you buy sh!tty pads they will squeal..


You might just need a new ABS sensor. :dontknow:

^Or, clean the "eye" of the sensors. That's a dirty environment under there.

lol, classic...

No pads have nothing to do with ur ABS light. There are two sensors on the rear at each wheel, check the rings on the axle shafts sometimes they break, but its probly one of the sensors back there. make sure ur wires didnt get rubbed through. i see ur sig says new gears, did the mechanics shop put the sensors back in? did they break the sensors when they removed them?

Ill check them. No it came on long after my gears were done. Came on towards the end of last summer.

mine does this too :dontknow: does your pedal push bake when your almost stopped and the light isnt on? and im pretty sure the emergency brake light comes on when fluid is low. mine was low. light came on. filled it. light went away. lol
