My car has its ABS light on every now and then. It doesn't come on everytime I drive it but its on frequently. I've hooked my ABS scanner up to it but it gives me an error everytime i try. One problem could be that the car is not in the list of cars on the ABS scanner. Its a 1996 GT. Now I have a good idea what the problem is, but it would be hard to pinpoint it without the scanner. Its acting very much like a wheel sensor isnt working, where abs is engaging when the wheels havent actually stopped moving. But how can I find out which wheel sensor it is without replacing all of them?

get the correct scanner. also im moving this to general tech. its not specific to a 2v engine.
I'm dealing with the same problem, I found the wires from the ABS sensor on the drivers side front wheel were frayed. In the process of replacing the
sensor. My mechanic figured out which one it was by pulling the code when the light came on.
