Hey all.

my cobra wiring harness has ABS in it.
i want to chop off the massive ABS center box off the wiring harness.

If i do this, will it cause problems? will my d!ck fall off or something? car not run?

Car has no ABS system, no TC system...

Re: ABS question

It might through your ABS when my buddy swapped a solid axle into his 04 cobra his ABS light was always on and his car ran fine. Then again if you cut everything out you should be alright I would think. all in all I think you dick will be alright :)

yea, i was going to have the shop turn off the ABS light when it gets tuned. is that an option, or do i have to take out the bulb?

we are going to cut it, individually seal each wire, then zip-tie the pig tail together (so it doesnt look like speghettitiee) and stuff it in a corner somehwere in the engine bay...

the damn thing is the size of a deck of cards... the car never had (and never will have) ABS or TC.... just wanted to make sure no one knew of a circut that was ran through the same pig tail... to make sure my wheel bearing would unlock when my blinker fluid gets low, kinda thing...

I thought if you pulled a warning light out of our cluster that the BCM would beep loudly every time you started it? You can always just put a piece of tape in the window to block the light.

unless the 96-98's are different from the 94-95, you can pull a bulb without any problems. when i bought my 95 every warning light had been yanked out of the cluster......which has led to a lot of troubleshooting since i put them all back in and they were all lit up!!

but anyways, there was no crazy beeping or anything else, just no light.

I've had two different mustangs where i pulled the fuse and the light and i don't believe i had any beeping. If i did, it wasn't loud enough to bother me. And you can't have it turned off with a tuner as fae as i know, since my tuner told me to just pull the bulb.. Make sure you pull the fuse though.
