Adding key Fob. NOT programming

I did a search and everything came up for PROGRAMMING a remote,but did every SN95 come with key fobs? My car doesn't have one and I like to add it, But I know GM cars have a special RPO code to state wether a Fob can be used. Do ours have that too?

some have keyless and some do not.

Look in the trunk behind the driver side liner. There should be a black box in there if your car had keyless from the factory I do believe.

Ok thank you! I don't see why it wouldn't. It has most of the other options, including the 17" wheel package. Ill check tomorrow when it's light out.

Not really, it was an option in all SN's...

it was an add-on option that people had to pay extra for. Normally if it had factory keyless you would have a remote.

Unless you bought it from a used lot and they lost the remotes. lol

Yeah I didn't see any black box. Going to see if I can add it on. We'll see....

if there is no black box save yourself the cash as there is nothing to program it too.

No black box.. just get a alarm..you'll have keyless then. My 95 gt has no box either

if a keyless is all you want you can get those for as little as $70 installed in a lot of places.

I did some more digging an asked a friend of mine that works at ford. I was hoping you could just plug and play with the RKE module but its a completely different wiring harness. I'm planning on buying a high end alarm anyway, but I'm just going to have to save up for it, so a factory RKE would have been nice to have in the meantime.

Was there nothing behind your drivers side trunk panel or just no black box?

If your car came equipped with anti theft like mine you will have a yellow box like this instead of the black box..

If you have this your still in luck if theres nothing back there then your going to have to add an aftermarket alarm

Nah there's nothing. No box, mount, or loose connectors. It'd be nice to have it, but not with as much trouble as it'd be. Ill just get an aftermarket alarm. I'm just a little OCD about wiring in my car.
