Any idea on how much an adjustable suspension costs for a 1997 Mustang? Also slotted Calipers and brakes?

I need an idea of how much I will be spending for parts and also I'll need to get this installed because I'm well, you guessed it, a lazy son of a bitch lol

What do you need a suspension for? By the looks of it your car is one of those back to the future cars that flys right? If you want slotted CALIPERS just take a sawzall and cut slots in it, now slotted rotors can be found at PEP Boys, right next to where you got all your LED shift nob, Japanese dragon decals and chrome wiper blades...while you're at you should get those really TRICK, light up valve stem caps, I bet it would be freakin awsome if you got those LED strips and glue them into the inside of your wheels that way everyone can see your new slotted calipers......END RANT....well actually, we should have an application process to be a member on the site...END RANT

Some people have different interests then others, mine is show AND speed, while some is still stuck in speed *shrug*

while I win 1st place and best domestics at car shows I could also beat GT's with my v6 lol how is this a bad thing??

It's not a bad thing at all, not sure why the rant took place but good luck.

I think the rant took place more because of the lack of proper terminology, rather than because of the actual content of the question. (Slotted calipers... really?)

The OP didn't tell us anything about his goals for the car, and therefore we are suggesting parts that might be terrible for said goals. It doesn't do you any good to use Strange shocks if you want a Road Race car... Suggestions before knowing goals is almost always a poor choice.

Give us a budget and goals and we can outline almost any type of suspension for you. Give us "I want adjustable suspension," and that means absolutely nothing to someone who isn't addicted to a single brand.

The rant took place for 2 main reasons, 1.) Yes your uneducated use of automotive terminlogy (slotted calipers), although I did understand that you meant slotted rotors. 2.) Your excessive and gaudy use of aftermarket lighting parts and other modifications RESERVED for import cars. Of course you would win 1st place trophies for "Illest" domestic car at an import car show, you were probably the only domestic there aside from neons and cavaliers. Beat GT's? With what mods? Your oversized subwoofers in the trunk? Your Halo headlights? Your underbody neons? Those have to add up to what, like 160 rwhp? And for the record, I'm not all about go...look at my mod list its not long and enjoy looking good driving down the street and I accomplish that by looking "Clean" and barely modding past factory fresh, but I would never be caught dead in a car that looks like it's out of the first Fast and the Furious movie. Just a heads up, people may not come right out and say it like I do, but I can speak for 90% of the board when I say your car is seriously riced out and if anyone is civil to you on this board, they are flaming you in another thread.

I get ya, you hate ricers, I don't mind them lol and I am exactly that, uneducated when it comes to names/brands of parts for cars but I know what I want, my goals is just a street care, I don't want a "track only" car, so I'm looking for parts that I can buy that could be used for good use and performance and also that looks good/clean for when its time to show off at car shows. No, the lights don't add HP, duh? lol the lights, and parts you named off are obviously for show only, lights stay off until parked at the show, as for how I beat a GT, not 100% sure but the work done is a full MAC Exhaust headers back (I believe the stock cat was used for fitting purposes) intake which doesn't add anything over 2HP lol and I think it was forced or forged pistons, not sure the correct wording because I didn't do that job, it was done when I brought it a few years ago. The Pistons were the only thing done to it at the time I brought it, and I owned an 87 LX that was all go, 4" high fiberglass hood, 4 hood pin down removable and a Saleen wing I believe it was and thats all.

Yes, this was the first care I "riced out" and you have to do it sometime to understand the nature of others doing this, and I understand now and no longer hate the ricers lol but then again some things I still call rice like HUGE wings on a RWD civic.. yeah just no. So hate on me all you want but I know why I did this and I also know this won;t be the last Mustang I get and I ALSO know the next Mustang I do get will be a 2003 Cobra with nothing but engine work, I love the looks of it stock so no need to alter that.

Okay! So let's get back on track, cntchds, sorry for not making myself clear, I started the thread after I got out of work (midnight job) and was pretty tired and unclear:

I see all these Mustangs with these "slotted" rotors or calipers (not sure of the difference) and I heard they actually improve braking/handling and since I want a street car with great speed and handling I figured i'd add that to the list!

Car needs brakes anyways so I figured i'd see what after market braking system I could get for the car only being a v6.

My price range is anywhere around $2,000 grand total, Parts and labor and again sorry for pissing everyone off for not making myself clear on my request for the info!
