Hey guys, Still have the original question.
Are there any NIB AED or SVO kits still out there to be had?? My internet searching has come up zilch. The KB looks great , but is a little pricey.
Oh yeah, I understand we're limited with HP output as being NPI. This a street driven car for me. I don't race (at least not at the strip :coolsmiley:).
I'm living here in Germany, and plan on living here a long time. I may eventually have to register my car with Germany, and have to have everything looking like it's Factory done.
I also want a quite supercharger. I've heard a couple of Vortech/Paxton and to me the screaming whine at idle sounded like sh*t.

Here's a link to the simple Mods I have now:

The SVO superchargers for 96-98 Mustangs is no longer available.

At this point you can do a Kenne Bell or a Vortech/Paxton.

Vortech makes the SQ series. That has a different bearing setup for it to not scream. It also has a better step up ratio for boost to come on sooner. Paxton Novi series has the same bearing setup.

Kenne Bell twin screw setup is quiet for the most part. When you floor the car they make some noise but nothing obnoxious.

AED is no longer in business and that sucks because it was a good company with a good product. Good luck finding a NIB SVO/FRPP Blower in complete kit form ( I have the last one I think but its for PI heads)

With Npi heads, pi intake, pi cams he should be able to make 340 real easy....probably on like 8 psi.

I would say go with a vortech and call it a day.

Yeah, I did the cams & intake, but not the heads due to the compression bump (don't have the highest quality gas here). Plus I thought it would not really help with future supercharging.
The cams and intake alone do give a decent HP boost. I dynoed a 248.3 DIN-PS @ 4918RPM, which is 244.9 HP. Better than the stock rated 215 HP.

You would dyno about 180 at the wheels stock just so you know...if you dyno 245 at the wheel you would be looking at more like 280 or so at the crank...unless they somehow calculate for flywheel hp on a dyno over there in germany.

As I ams ure evryone knows that AED is gone. I do know that Fast Specialties in Vancouver WA is working on an adapter kit for the 96-98 to put an M112 (Generation 5 Magnuson) intercooled S/C on it. It was origianlly designed for the 99-04 but they now have a set of the plates to give it a try. The kit is making more power than the KB 2.1.
