I remember reading somewhere where someone couldn't get the vents to blow any air through them. Only the defroster worked.
Well, this has happened to me. I'm not sure why and can't figure out what to do about it, but its starting to get warmer hear and i'd like to fix this. Anyone know what i should do?

and once again

I had that problem a few years back and took it to the dealer. If I remember correctly, it's due to a vacuum leak. For some reason the baffles in the HVAC system default to defrost.

Its a vac. leak... its under the hood, against the fire wall. There is 4 lines/hoses that come off the vac. tree right next to the hood hinge on the drivers side. one of those lines is really tiny and made of plastic as opposed to the others that are made of rubber.

Take a long close look at that line... its cracked someplace or may even be really obvious and just either come out of its connector or broken. Remember it is 14+ yrs old now. Anyways, patch that line or replace it if you can find the right hose and all will be good again.

cool, sounds like it shouldn't be too hard. I'll check that tomorrow and hopefully that will work!

yah, id imagine itd be hard if it was down further, but mine was right at the tree, all i had to do was remove the broken plastic piece from the rubber thing and put the rest back in.

start from your vac tree and follow the line that is marked A/C. it will run across the back of your engine bay, and enters right where your two A/C lines go through the firewall. If everything looks good there... go inside the car, and drop out the glovebox, all the rest of the vac lines are behind there!
