airbag light on?

any of you know how to clear an airbag light showing up on the cluster? it flashes a couple times after first starting up and then it stays on solid until the car is shut off. any ideas on this one?

Could be your battery. My airbag light stayed on when my battery started to go bad.

thanks for the help guys! I did read a few other threads associated with the same issue and one of them does make sense. I had all of the interior out recently which included the carpet and console. it's possible that I may have pulled the wire loose on the module under the dash on the trans hump. I will have to check that, as I don't remember the light being on before I removed the interior.

Is it flashing a code?

I have a 94 and its flashes 61 or 64 don't remember off the top of my head.

Count the number of times it flashes and we'll get you the code.

It'll flash the first number, pause, then flash the rest.

1, 1, 1, 1

PAUSE

1,1,1

Or whatever.

I had the same problem and it turned out I disconnected the crash sensor, only to forget to reconnect it.

hello all, I'm back with more on the airbag light status. I watched the light to see how many times it flashed and in what order. it is flashing once, pause and then another two flashes. so, in saying that does anyone know what the # 12 trouble code means? :confused1:
