Is there anyway to disconnect power to the airbag without disconnecting the battery itself?

I wanna reclock my steering wheel (its a few degrees off and my OCD got the best of me), but I dont wanna go through the trouble of resetting the clock, radio, having the car relearn its idle, and all that fun stuff.

Is there a connector under the dash I can just unplug or something?

Just looking to make my life a little easier...

Huh, not sure if this helps? On mustangworld.com, there are instructions on putting in a FR500 Steering Wheel. It says this:
Disconnect the negative wire on the battery and wait 20 minutes.

That supposed to not have the airbag blow, or something. I was hoping it would say why, but it doesn't. This is all I go!

I say just disconnect the battery and deal with the restting man because imo it's just too damn sketchy to not disconnect the battery.

I've never had a bag pop on me before while i'm working on a car but im sure its not fun. You can disconnect the plugs from behind the sensors in the front of the car or the module that's in the car.

If i'm not mistaken you have to take the panel that goes around the stereo (Big center peice with the a/c vents and what-not) and on the floor of the car should be airbag module

But again, I wouldn't recommend it.. just not worth the risk especially since the bags on our cars can cost a pretty penny and those damn things HURT when they pop!!!

When deciding between a little inconvenience, and getting smacked with an airbag blasting you in the face at 700 mph, I think I'll go ahead and just reset the clock. Wow.

Im not looking to endanger myself or have an airbag go off in my face, just looking for a different way to get the job done. Sorry to ask. Wow.

When I originally put my FR500 on, I disconnected the battery and that led to a slew of problems trying to get the car to idle right again. Just trying to avoid that again.

It takes all of five minutes for the ECU to re-learn the idle.

Safety first. Airbags are nothing to mess with.
