Looks good man, but I hate that spoiler...I think your car would look a lot cleaner wingless.

Are you getting the cobra letters shaved on the rear?

i fall more in love with the spoiler every day...

Not shaving, anything... It's going full fobra. Like the look waaaay better then stock mustang, and hopefully soon it'll be able to back it up..
I understand your logic, but the lettering and the badges aren't what (just) make the Cobras look the way they do, the shape of the bumpers, hood, etc give the car it's styling more-so than anything else. 1, I don't know about you, but I wouldn't wanna false-advertise my car with lettering and emblems of the wrong car (hoods and bumpers are different in that kind of sense). And with that being said, the people that do know, or will easily notice that the car is a fake cobra, will much more appreciate the look of the car with everything shaved.

Personally if It were me doing your car, I would put all the Cobra body parts on it like you are doing, then shave the rear bumper, and put 4.6 badges on the fenders, and a running horse in the grille (esp. since all the Cobras came with running horses anyway). Even on a real cobra, sometimes the shaved emblems and such can make for a cleaner much nicer look anyway.

who said he's doing it wrong? it just sounds like from his logic, that it wont look like a cobra unless it has cobra badges and says "COBRA" all over it. I think there's plenty of people both mustang enthusiasts and not, that will assume its a cobra way before seeing the badges and lettering that implies that it's a cobra.

this is just my opinion, but if i was in your shoes, i would much rather have someone think it (looks like) a cobra because of the style of the car, than have them not assume it is, see the badges, then assume its something it isn't. If I had a GT, and someone said "your car looks like a cobra", id probably take it as a compliment... not so much if it was a GT with cobra badges and you have people under the impression it is a cobra.

nope. still waiting on the hood, and side skirts. paypaled the scoops, they should be in soon.

the skirts are actualy harder to find then i had intended upon... i can buy them new from ford for 500 (my dad has an acount with them.. regularly like 700) and i may end up doing that if i cant find any used ones by the time the hood comes in.

only thing ive done since, is put the throttle body spacer on, and that has nothing to do with cobra conversion...

also, selling the turbo coupe, and trying to buy a motorcycle, so this is kinda on the back burner at the moment...
----------------------

as for putting the badges on, i may find some 4.6/ 281 badges.. or maybe just a trybar pony emblem and leave svt off the trunk, but im not shaving cobra from the bumper, too much time, just wont put any inserts in it... and i was planning on leaving the horse in the grille...

whats wrong with a cobra clone/ conversion/ tribute? NOTHING.

people do it all the time with first gens, do they get flamed? no, its a look that they want, and if it includes cobra badges.. so be it...

its kinda rediculous that yall are making a big deal out of it, ive never claimed it to be a cobra, and i never will, if some one asks, i will tell them straigt up that its a clone... i respect clones alot more then stock cars, because it isnt cheap by any means to do the conversion..

well it looks like a terminator

not quite. still need the scoops, mirrors, and the skirts.

my price from ford is 500 on the skirts, and the scoops are in the mail.

not sure if im going to do the mirrors, thats kind of a waist of money... i mean the cobra conversion is aswell, but my hood/ bumpers needed to be replaced anyways, so i just went all out, because cobra looks better... but my mirrors are in perfect shape, so replacing them is kinda pointless, i may just paint my factory mirrors black..
