Hey I was wondering I have an anlernator sitting around here out of a 2004 f250 the wires and hook ups look the same as our mustangs but the only thing that dont look the same is the mounting brakets. Could I take the cover off the alternators and switch them and would it bolt up and also would it still work?

any one know

No. Buy an alternator for your specific car.

I believe you but want to know specifically WHY it won't work....Theoretically I should be able to put just about any alternator on any car/truck...does it not match up electronically/impedence or something? Curious..

Is the amperage the same between the two models?

I bet it would work.

I wonder if the output is higher for the truck, but the 94-95 alternators are pretty strong already. way better than the stock fox bodies, thank god.
