So I've been really debating on buying a 96-98 Cobra Convertible and then swapping out some parts from my 94 GT to it such as wheels, hood, seats, HID kit, etc. Then selling the GT to pay off the last of the Cobra and pay for a Kenne Bell setup...

I found a nice 97 with 55k miles. Only mods on it are 3:73 gears, sportlines, and an h pipe/catback...

I'm thinking about doing this OR painting my CF hood/spoiler and selling/trading my wheels and getting some chrome SC wheels..

Hmmm.. I change my mind way too much.

Cobra. When I was whooped on by a stock 96 mystic (just exhaust), I realized how great those 4vs are.

those 4vs are great untill you want to pay for headwork. 32 valve, 32 springs, 4 cams, 4 chains, . . .. . it all adds up quick.

theres a guy ina local group im in with a 99/01 cobra and he put something like 295 to the wheels... i asked him what else he had planned and he said "nothing, everything else will break my wallet... i can spend $2,000 for a blower that I wont use to its full potencial, or spend $2,000 to build my heads for a blower I can no longer afford. at $40.00 a vlave, thses cobras are too much for me."


if you want to do some major modifications, id lean away from any of the N/A cobras. if you want a fast cruising car, go for it.

honestly it depends on how much power he wants. if he does full bolts ons and a simple blower or something, I think he'd love the 4v 100s more than the 2v, but if your looking for 500-700 HP, stick with teh 2v.

If I got the cobra I would supercharge it and shoot for about 400-430ish rwhp.

My GT is putting down about 315rwhp right now with the vortech and supporting mods..

We lined up on the street and he spun bad and I beat him off the line but he was pulling hard by 2nd. I left off because we were in the middle of town and I was stupid enough for starting it in the first place, but he would ahve beat me.

Of course my car runs like poo but still. I was impressed. If I had $6k I would ahve bought it off them right then. Mystic mmmmm

Well turns out the cobra I was looking at sold, so on the hunt for another low miles triple black cobra vert.

On the bright side, I bought a Canon Rebel XSi today. Now I can take some sexy pics when I get home from South Korea!
