I think it is a alpine cda 9883. Do i hook it up to one of the wires in the wiring harness going to the stereo?

The remote wire attaches to a blue wire coming out of the radio unit itself. I'm trying to remember where I ran my power wire... I don't remember exactly, but it comes out right above teh kick panel and goes right behind it...I wish I coudl remember! It was a good spot to run it, really easy. Sorryy. I'll look tomorrow for you if you havent figured it out

just find any open hole or gromet in the firewall to get your power wire through...your remote wire should be a solid blue wire coming off the stereo harness itself, if its a new deck it should have a little label, at least Pioneers do. Also be sure to ground your amp in the Trunk, with the shortest amount of wire possible.

well my wires came in today, and i wired it up and hooked my sub up. It sounds pretty decent or a $50 sub/amp i got off craigslist. you cant see the wires anywhere except for a like 3in part by the rear seats. I didnt really see how to take out the seats so i just tucked the wires and put it in the carpet for most of the car length. i think i did pretty good tho

^ No offense, but those wires would drive me insane. I'm OCD lol

I removed my rear seats and the side trim and removed everything in teh trunk and ran the wires under the trim on teh sides, through the side panel next to the rear seat and it comes out in the trunk behind the carpeted panels. Then it just comes out from that into my amp. I'm thinking about mounting my amp onto the seat, I just havent gotten around to doing it because I also need to build my sub box and was thinking about building a rack then.

You should mount the amp up under the rear deck in between the rear speakers. That's what I did w/ my 4 channel amp. It's up and out of the way plus If I had to put the seats down to put something long in the trunk it wasn't in the way (before I built a rsd). I fished all my wires thru some holes and everything is out of the way and unseen for a nice install yet easy enough to get to when adjustments need to be made.

Up under the rear deck won't get any airflow to the amp....and yeah I still gotta clean up and tie the wires, they are a mess

ummm...yea it does. Mines been there over a year. Actually has more air flow than yours since the back of mine isn't flush mounted to carpet. I have air space on EVERY side. :angel4:
