This was back after i was the victim of a hit and run back in november. while it was in the body shop I grew bored and decided to take the trunk lip spoiler and repaint it. While taking it off at the body shop one of the workers helped me take it off. to assist he used a metal spatula :shakehead: but I allowed it because he told me he was not letting it touch the paint, and from my angle at the time it looked to be true. Boy was I wrong. Deep deep scratches and one went down the primer :violent1:but it is an area that is covered by the lip so no worries. plus ive been meaning to practice wet sanding for a long time now.
along with polishing and the regular stuff, the car was looking too stock so i had to remove the grille piece and repaint that to match the lip, and after that i had to rewire my HIDS and install the new DDM bulbs.

Who said you cant detail outside at night with below freezing weather??
washing outside at 27 F is def not a good idea lol
Car looking very stock except for the painted grille and being lowered...that can change very quickly
My brother claying. he has been nagging me to quote him so here goes. "Claying makes me happy "
Dirty Engine bay
Parts Removed for painting
Not liking the chrome...
While waiting for things to dry, I moved to prepping the middle of the front bumper for vinyl wrapping. Found some light scratches and marring. nothing too serious. Menz SIP/orange pad followed up by 85rd on a black pad gave the right result.
Top part has minor scratches again. Going to polish these out another day. For now just pictures showing the defects
Now onto the trunk. Me being an idiot i forgot to take pics of the scratches before applying touchup paint, but take my word for it, they were bad
Afte compounding, and SIP i finished it up with 85rd on a green uber amazing combo
Scratches I polished out but forgot to get after pics :/ got almost 100% correction on this part
back to normal
And of course a hologram and hazing on my drivers side door. The detailer at the shop isnt horrible, but i think he should practice with the rotary a little more.
Hood had some RIDS, will knock these out later with SIP or compound if SIP fails
Finished up for the night it was 2am and i had to go into work at 8 so i forced myself to stop and continue another night.
Also no LSP was used as the paint on the Hood, Front Bumper, Side Fenders, and front doors are fresh. I hate playing the waiting game when it comes to my car :waiting:
Rear Lip Spoiler Installed Sorry for the Blurry Shots
Enjoy and stay tuned for part 2
