I have found if you take out the idea of ever selling the car, the depreciation of those expensive parts suddenly is not such a big deal.

Good point, Scott. I can get 4 new replacement pistons for less than $100 delivered. Not a huge deal in the end, and not worth potentially crashing due to a brake failure or having to redo it (again) due to leaking seals.
